The Morning Rotation is time to learn both fine arts and circus skills. Activities for fine arts will build throughout the week and include ceramics, book making, printmaking, drawing from nature, cooking snacks, and puppets. Under the umbrella of circus arts, campers will try their hand at tumbling, stilt walking, group and partner pyramids, clowning, and object manipulation.
Afternoon Rotations include additional time to practice art and circus skills, as well as the opportunity to work with a special Guest Artist in Residence. Each week a guest artist will teach special classes in drumming, yoga, capoeira or theater for the week of their stay.
Choice Focus is an opportunity for campers to dive deeper into an activity they’ve been working on. They may choose to spend more time working on their clay mask, drawing in their handmade journal, practicing spinning plates, building human pyramids, or juggling.
Friday Showcase is a casual forum in which students have a chance to display or perform the work they’ve been practicing over the week. They can show a skill, like tumbling, or display a mask, or play their latest drum groove for their peers. Parents are welcome, too!
